Not everyone that wears purple wants Favre

Mike Florio and PFT are reporting that a "faction" of players on the Vikings would rather see Tarvaris Jackson start in place of You-Know-Who.

These players, whom have yet to be identified, believe that Jackson is a better option at QB than Favre and his out-dated arm. Personally, I still think Favre gives them the better option because he'll open up more for Adrian Peterson.

Florio goes on to talk about the "what if" of a Viking struggle. Does "Chilly" have the cojones to bench Favre and go with Jackson? He better. His job is on the line.

UPDATE: Adam Schefter of ESPN.com is saying that there is also a group of Vikings players that want Sage Rosenfels to be the starter.

Vikings coach Brad "Chilly" Childress was asked about the possible uproar.

"I've seen the same reports you've seen," Childress said. "Those are opinions. It's hard to shoot holes in an opinion. It's just that -- an opinion. I certainly don't see it."
