Iowa Umpire gets ejection happy

It's not uncommon for a coach or player in high school games to get ejected. Actually, it's not too uncommon for a fan to get ejected as I am in fact guilty of being ejected at a little league game as a fan but that is besides the point. What is a bit uncommon to say the least is the entire group of fans to be ejected. And, you guessed it, that's exactly what happened.

In a high school baseball game between Winfield-Mount Union and West Burlington. The umpire said that the fans were "being unruly", "yelling", and "arguing". I don't know of that last time I went to any sporting event of any age and didn't see these three things going on. The superintendent of West Burlington said that he didn't see anything that warranted such action but that didn't stop the power hungry ump who actually asked for police assistance to help control the cheering section.

The game eventually resumed after a 40 minute delay and West Burlington got the "W" by a score of 12-11. This is a perfect time for a throwback video of by far the best ejection known to man.
