Manhattan College decided to take a chance on him. Coach Arritt said "He can run as well as anybody, he can jump as well as anybody. You don't need two hands to block shots around the basket." (ESPN.com). The coach also hopes his extreme work ethic will rub off on the other players.

He can handle passes with his handicap hand but is of course limited to shooting with his right arm. Something that gives him a monstrous disadvantage.
Laue says he has been contacted by hundreds of people going through similar conditions and that he has been a source of hope for all of them. He hopes to be able to reach more people when getting to college.
I wish him the best of luck and applaud Manhattan College for taking a chance on someone like this.
